ByteCrush is a Belgian IT company founded in 2012 by Tom Verschueren.

Tom is a master in computer science, graduated at the beautiful Ghent University in 2008. Since then he has been working there as a researcher/software developer at the IBCN research group. During this time he had the pleasure of working on projects concerning technologies in the field of Smart Grids, (Home) Networking & Data Management.

These projects introduced him to a wide range of knowledge on topics such as web services, SQL data management, development for mobile devices, virtualization, java enterprise, etc. Under the impression that he had acquired all the necessary tools, he took the plunge and founded ByteCrush! Shortly thereafter he started working on his first project.
